Jonathan has been studying art since age 14 at the National School of the Arts in Johannesburg, South Africa.  People come from all over Africa to attend this art school.  The students studied all forms of art intensely.  His focus was sculpture.  He also attended Ruth Prouse University of Cape Town.  He was not finding the art education in South Africa the degree of training he wanted so made the commitment to go to Italy at the Florence Academy.  He was able to finish 4 years of study at the Florence Academy of Art, Florence, Italy.  After this he has been working in South Africa on his art work and teaching privately.   All Jonathan knows is art.  That is all he has trained and worked toward his whole adult and young life.  He comes from a family of clay workers  that go back generations.
